WHEELS & TIRES IN COLUMBUS, OHIO
Wheels and tires are one of the most visible and impactful changes you can make to a vehicle. At Pickups Plus Cars, we carry a broad selection of custom wheels and tires for trucks, SUVs, cars, Jeeps, and performance vehicles. Whether you're building a lifted truck for off-road use, putting together a performance setup, or replacing a worn set with something that looks sharper, our experienced professionals have been helping Central Ohio customers find the right fit since 1999.
Getting wheels and tires right isn't just about picking something that looks good. Offset, backspacing, load rating, and tire profile all affect how a vehicle handles, whether the setup clears the suspension and body, and whether it's safe to drive. We consult on fitment before we sell, and we handle mounting, balancing, and TPMS at both our Lewis Center and Hilliard locations. Come in, and we'll put together the right combination for your vehicle.
WHEELS & TIRE SERVICES
-
Custom Wheels
We carry custom wheels from brands including Fuel, Black Rhino, American Racing, Asanti, Moto Metal, Foose, fifteen52, Konig, Niche, and KMC, across a range of finishes, sizes, and styles. Whether you're looking for an aggressive gloss black wheel for a lifted truck, a forged set for a performance vehicle, or a clean multi-spoke design for an SUV, we can find an option that fits both the vehicle and the budget. Fitment is confirmed before anything is ordered.
-
Tires
The right tire depends on what you drive and how you use it. All-season tires handle the mix of dry, wet, and winter conditions that Central Ohio delivers across most of the year. All-terrain tires offer more aggressive tread for off-road traction in mud, gravel, and loose terrain while staying street-legal. Performance tires prioritize dry and wet grip over tread life, built for vehicles where handling response matters. We'll match you to the right category and brand for your vehicle and driving habits before recommending anything.

Wheel & Tire Packages
Many customers know what they want the final result to look like but not which specific combination gets them there. We build packages based on the vehicle, the intended use, and any lift or leveling kit already in play. A lifted truck running 35-inch all-terrains has different fitment requirements than a lowered sport compact or a stock crossover getting a visual upgrade. We work through offset, clearance, and load rating so the setup fits correctly before it's ever ordered.
-
Mounting, Balancing & TPMS
Every package we sell is mounted and balanced in-house. Proper mounting ensures a correct bead seal and eliminates slow leaks. Balancing distributes weight evenly across the assembly to prevent vibration and extend tire life. When new wheels are installed, TPMS sensors often need to be relearned or replaced to keep your dashboard reading accurately. We handle the full installation at both locations so the entire job — wheels, tires, and sensors — is done in one visit.
COMMON WHEELS & TIRES QUESTIONS
How do I know if a wheel will fit my vehicle without rubbing?
Fitment depends on offset, backspacing, and the wheel's center bore relative to your vehicle's hub. Offset determines how far the wheel sits inward or outward from the hub face. Too little offset and the wheel sticks out past the fender. Too much and it contacts the suspension or brakes. We verify offset and backspacing for your specific year, make, and model, including any lift or leveling kit you're running, before recommending or ordering a wheel. Getting fitment right the first time avoids rubbing, binding, and safety issues down the road. What's the difference between all-season, all-terrain, and performance tires?
All-season tires are designed for mixed conditions: dry pavement, wet roads, and light snow. They're the standard choice for most daily drivers and handle Central Ohio weather well year-round. All-terrain tires have a more aggressive tread pattern and sidewall, built for off-road traction in mud, gravel, and loose terrain while remaining street-legal. They're a common choice for truck and Jeep owners who go off-road periodically. Performance tires prioritize dry and wet grip over tread life, built for vehicles where handling response matters more than longevity. We'll point you toward the right category based on how you actually use the vehicle. Can I put larger wheels on my truck or SUV without a lift kit?
It depends on the wheel diameter and tire profile, not just the overall size. Going to a larger diameter wheel while keeping the overall tire height similar is common, and in many cases it fits within the existing fender clearance without a lift. If you're adding significant width or increasing the overall diameter, a lift may be needed to avoid rubbing. We confirm what fits before making any recommendation, so you're not guessing at clearances or ordering parts that won't work together.Do you carry wheels and tires for lifted trucks running 35-inch tires or larger?
Yes. Fitting 35s or larger is one of the more common requests we handle for trucks and Jeeps. At that size, offset, tire width, and backspacing all require close attention to avoid contact with the suspension, body, or fenders. We've set up enough of these configurations on common truck and Jeep platforms in Central Ohio to know what works. Come in and tell us what you're running or planning to run, and we'll put together a combination that clears correctly and looks right.
