A PERFORMANCE PLAN THAT FITS YOUR VEHICLE

The most common mistake in a performance build is buying parts without a plan. A customer buys an intake, then an exhaust, then a tune, and ends up with a mismatched setup that doesn't perform as well as it should and costs more than a coordinated build would have. A performance consultation maps out the build first, so each modification works with the ones before and after it, and the budget goes where it actually moves the needle.

As part of our vehicle and garage consultation services, we evaluate your vehicle, your goals, and your budget, then give you a specific build path rather than a list of parts to consider. Whether you're building for the street, the track, or serious towing, the plan starts with what you're actually trying to accomplish.

WHAT THE PERFORMANCE CONSULTATION COVERS

A performance consultation produces a specific, prioritized build plan for your vehicle. Here's what that involves and what you walk away with.

Goals & Use Case Assessment

Performance work that doesn't match how the vehicle is actually used is money spent in the wrong direction. The consultation starts with what you're trying to accomplish: more horsepower, better track times, stronger towing, or a solid daily driver. The use case determines what modifications matter. We ask the right questions before making any recommendations.

Vehicle Evaluation

What's already been done to the vehicle affects what can and should come next. Factory vehicles and modified ones have different starting points. We look at the current state of the engine, drivetrain, suspension, and exhaust before recommending a build path. Modifications stack on each other, and the wrong sequence wastes money. Understanding where the vehicle is now is the first step in mapping where it should go.

Build Path & Budget Planning

The outcome of the consultation is a prioritized list of modifications with a recommended sequence and a realistic cost range. This isn't a wish list. It's a specific plan that accounts for your budget, the vehicle's current state, and how each modification affects the ones that come after it. We're honest about what will make a measurable difference and what won't on your specific vehicle.

Execution With Pickups Plus Cars

If you want to move forward, we can execute the build through our performance services at Lewis Center and Hilliard. We handle engine work, exhaust upgrades, air intake and filtration, supercharger and turbo installations, suspension, and dyno testing. The consultation serves as the brief for the build, and you don't have to start over with someone else to get the work done.

YOU NEED THIS IF:

  • You want to build out a performance vehicle but aren't sure where to start or what to prioritize
  • You've added parts to your vehicle before and aren't sure whether they're working together correctly
  • You're planning a track build and want a specific, sequenced plan before spending money
  • You want to know what modifications will actually make a measurable difference on your vehicle
  • You want a performance plan you can execute in phases as budget allows

COMMON PERFORMANCE CONSULTATION QUESTIONS

  • Who is this consultation for?

Anyone planning a performance build who wants a specific plan before spending money. That includes daily drivers who want a clean street build, track-focused customers who want a tuned setup for lap times, and tow vehicles that need more capability. We work with customers at all budget levels. The consultation is as useful for a modest intake and exhaust build as it is for a full engine build. The goal is the same: spend the money where it makes the most difference.
  • Do I need to come in for the consultation, or can it happen remotely?

An in-person consultation at one of our Lewis Center or Hilliard locations gives us the best picture of where the vehicle actually stands. We can do an initial conversation remotely, but for a detailed build plan, having the vehicle in front of us matters. If you're not local to Central Ohio, reach out, and we'll figure out the best approach.
  • Will the consultation tell me exactly what parts to buy?

Yes, in most cases. The output is a specific build plan with recommended modifications, a logical sequence, and realistic cost ranges. We're not going to give you a generic list of "popular upgrades." We recommend what makes sense for your vehicle, your goals, and your budget. If there are areas where we'd like to test the vehicle before finalizing a recommendation, we'll let you know.
  • What happens after the consultation?

You have a build plan you can act on however you want. Some customers execute it themselves, sourcing parts and doing the install. Others have us handle the work. There's no obligation. If you want us to execute the build, we can move directly from consultation into the shop. We also have a dyno at our facility for baseline testing and post-build tuning if that's part of the plan.
  • Can a performance consultation help if I've already made modifications I'm not happy with?

Yes. We've seen plenty of builds where parts were added in the wrong order or don't work well together. The consultation can assess what's there, identify what's working, and map out a path forward. Sometimes that means adding to what's there. Sometimes it means replacing something that's limiting the rest of the build. We'll give you an honest read on the current state before recommending anything.
