CUSTOM-FIT SEAT COVERS IN CENTRAL OHIO

Seat covers serve two different purposes, and the right product depends on which one you need. Protection covers keep working seats in good condition for longer, making it useful for trucks that see job site use, families with kids and dogs, or anyone who wants to preserve resale value. Transformation covers, like Katzkin leather, take a vehicle with cloth seats and give it a premium leather interior. Both are legitimate approaches, and both require a cover that actually fits the seat properly.

We carry Covercraft, Elegant by Saddleman, and Katzkin seat covers at our Lewis Center and Hilliard locations as part of our interior services. All three are custom-fit to your specific vehicle's make, model, and year. If the underlying seats have tears, cracks, or structural damage, a cover masks the problem but doesn't fix it. In that case, seat repair is the right conversation. Come in, and we'll help you figure out which direction makes sense.

FIND THE RIGHT SEAT COVER

Seat covers aren't one-size-fits-all. The right option depends on whether you need protection, a style upgrade, or something in between. Here's how the main options differ.

Heavy-Duty Protection

For trucks and SUVs used for work, outdoor activities, or heavy daily use. Covers in this category are built from durable, breathable materials that protect against dirt, moisture, and wear while staying comfortable. Removable and machine washable. The right choice when the priority is protection over appearance.

Custom-Fit Style Covers

Semi-custom and fully tailored covers that improve the interior's appearance while providing a cleaner fit than universal options. Available in a range of fabrics and patterns to fit vehicles from older models through current year. A good option for customers who want a refreshed look without a permanent change to the seat.

Full Leather Upgrades

A complete leather upholstery replacement for vehicles that came with cloth seats. This is not a cover — the factory material is removed and replaced with custom leather in your choice of color and stitching. The finished result looks and feels like a factory leather interior. For customers who want a genuine upgrade rather than a cover over cloth.

Fit & Installation

All seat covers we carry are custom-fit to your specific year, make, model, and seat configuration. We confirm fitment and compatibility with built-in features like side airbags and seat heater controls before installation. A cover that doesn't account for these features creates problems. We make sure the fit is right before anything goes on the seat.

YOU NEED SEAT COVERS IF:

  • You want to protect your seats from work, outdoor use, kids, or pets without a permanent change
  • You want to refresh the interior's appearance without committing to a full reupholster
  • You have cloth seats and want to upgrade to a leather look and feel
  • You're buying or preparing a vehicle for resale and want the interior looking sharp
  • You want a custom-fit cover, not a universal fit that bunches and shifts

COMMON SEAT COVER QUESTIONS

  • What's the difference between a seat cover and having my seats reupholstered?

Seat covers fit over the existing seat and are removable. They protect or change the appearance of the seat without permanently modifying it. Reupholstering works directly on the seat itself, replacing the material permanently. The exception is Katzkin, which replaces the upholstery entirely rather than covering it — the finished result is indistinguishable from factory leather. If your seats have actual damage, tears, or structural issues, a cover masks the problem. In that case, seat repair or reupholstering is the better option.
  • Will seat covers work with my seat's built-in features?

Custom-fit covers from Covercraft, Saddleman, and Katzkin are designed to accommodate seat-specific features including side airbags, seat heater controls, and adjustment mechanisms. Generic universal covers often block or interfere with these features. We confirm your seat configuration before selecting a cover to make sure everything works correctly after installation.
  • How do Katzkin covers differ from standard seat covers?

Katzkin is not actually a cover. It's a full leather upholstery replacement. The factory seat material is removed and replaced with custom leather, including the seat back, cushion, and all panels. The result looks and feels like a factory leather interior because it's installed the same way. It's a permanent modification, not something that goes on and comes off. For customers who want a true leather upgrade, it's the right option. For customers who want flexibility or protection, Covercraft or Saddleman makes more sense.
  • How long does seat cover installation take?

Slip-on covers like Covercraft SeatSavers can be installed in under an hour in most cases. Katzkin installations take longer because the factory upholstery is being removed and replaced — typically a full day for front and rear seats. We'll give you a timeline based on your specific vehicle and the product before scheduling.
