    Hood Bug Shields

    Bug shields mount at the front edge of the hood to deflect insects, road debris, and stone chips away from the hood and windshield.     Window Rain Guards

    Rain guards mount above the door glass and allow you to keep windows cracked without rain, wind, or highway noise forcing its way in. They also reduce interior heat buildup when the vehicle is parked in the sun. Available in in-channel and tape-on styles depending on the vehicle and your preference.

    In-Channel vs. Tape-On

    In-channel guards sit inside the window channel without adhesive, creating a clean look with no tape line visible from outside. Tape-on guards mount to the exterior door frame with 3M tape and are easier to install on some vehicles. In-channel is the better choice if you think you may want to remove them later. We'll walk you through both options before installation.

The same truck platform can have different hood profiles or door frame dimensions across model years, so fitment is confirmed before any part is ordered.       They protect different parts of the vehicle and solve different problems.     • What's the difference between in-channel and tape-on rain guards?

      In-channel rain guards sit inside the window channel without adhesive. They don't require tape, leave no residue, and can be removed cleanly if needed. Tape-on guards mount to the exterior door frame using 3M automotive tape. They're slightly easier to install on certain vehicle configurations but are harder to remove without leaving adhesive residue. Cheaper, unbranded accessories are often universal fit rather than vehicle-specific, which means they require modification to sit flush — or they never quite do. In our experience, the accessories that lift at the edges, fade within a season, or let wind in at highway speed are almost always the ones that were purchased based on price alone. The brands we carry use vehicle-specific tooling, which is why the fitment is clean and the accessories hold up through Ohio winters without cracking or fading.

    • Will a bug shield affect my hood's ability to open and close normally?

      No. Bug shields mount to the front edge of the hood and don't interfere with the hood latch or hinge mechanism. They're designed around the hood's natural contour and open and close with the hood as normal. That said, fitment matters here too. A shield that isn't matched to your specific hood profile can sit unevenly or make contact with the grille or bumper when the hood is closed. We confirm fitment before installation to make sure nothing interferes.
