Powersport Service: ATVs, UTVs & Motorcycles
Schedule Service
POWERSPORT SERVICE IN COLUMBUS, OHIO
Powersport vehicles get used hard. ATVs and UTVs take abuse that most passenger vehicles never see, and motorcycles have their own specific maintenance and performance demands. At Pickups Plus Cars, we work on all three. Whether you're coming in for seasonal maintenance, a performance upgrade, or accessories to make your machine more capable or more personalized, we have the equipment and experience to handle it across both our Lewis Center and Hilliard locations.
We approach powersports the same way we approach trucks and cars: look at what's actually there, understand how the owner uses it, and recommend what makes sense. We've been working on vehicles in Central Ohio since 1999. Come in, tell us what you're riding and what you're after, and we'll go from there.
ATV, UTV & MOTORCYCLE SERVICES
-
Maintenance & Repair
ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles need regular maintenance to stay reliable, and service intervals are often shorter than owners expect. We handle oil and filter changes, brake inspection and repair, tire checks and replacement, and engine diagnostics for all three vehicle types. If something isn't running right, we find the cause and tell you what it will take to fix it before any work is done. Keeping up with maintenance extends the life of any powersports vehicle and reduces the cost of ownership.
-
Performance Upgrades
Performance upgrades for powersports vehicles range from bolt-on basics to more involved builds depending on what you're trying to achieve. Common work includes exhaust upgrades, air intake improvements, suspension tuning, and engine modifications for more power. We assess the vehicle and your goals before recommending anything specific. Not every upgrade makes sense on every machine, and we'll give you a straight answer about what's actually worth doing before any money changes hands.
-
Customization & Accessories
Customization for ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles covers a wide range: lighting upgrades for visibility on trails or roads, protective accessories for off-road use, graphics and wraps to change the look, and ergonomic modifications for rider comfort. UTVs in particular have become highly customizable, with accessories built for both recreation and work applications. We'll look at what you have and what you're trying to do with it, then help you put together a combination that fits how you actually ride.
-
Safety Inspections
Safety inspections cover the components that matter most: brakes, tires, lights, and steering. A machine that hasn't been properly maintained can develop issues that aren't obvious until something goes wrong on a trail or a road. We conduct pre-season inspections for customers bringing vehicles out of storage, post-season checks before putting them away, and targeted inspections when something feels off. We'll tell you what we found and what the priority level is before recommending any repairs.

COMMON POWERSPORT SERVICE QUESTIONS
What types of powersports vehicles do you work on?
We work on ATVs, UTVs (including side-by-sides), and motorcycles. If you're not sure whether we can help with your specific machine, reach out with the year, make, and model and we'll give you a straight answer. Most powersports vehicles share common service needs, but some upgrades and parts are more machine-specific. We can usually sort that out quickly before you make the trip in.How often does an ATV or UTV need an oil change?
Most manufacturers recommend an oil change every 100 hours of operation or at least once per season, whichever comes first. Machines used frequently in dust or mud may benefit from more frequent service. Motorcycle intervals vary more by engine type and usage, but the general range is every 3,000 to 5,000 miles depending on oil type. We can look at your specific machine, check the manufacturer spec, and help you build a maintenance schedule based on how often and how hard you ride. Can you add a performance exhaust to an ATV or UTV?
Yes. Performance exhaust upgrades are one of the more common powersports jobs we do. A well-matched system reduces backpressure and improves both power output and throttle response. The right system depends on your specific machine and whether you're pairing the exhaust with other modifications, like an air intake upgrade or a tune. We can tell you what improvement you can realistically expect from a given setup before you commit to anything. What should I have checked before the riding season starts?
A pre-season inspection should cover brakes, tires, fluids, battery, throttle and cable operation, lights, and air filter condition. Machines that have sat through an Ohio winter can develop issues that don't show up on a visual check alone. Fuel left in the system over a long storage period can affect the fuel system, and brake fluid absorbs moisture over time. Coming in for a full inspection at the start of the season costs considerably less than a breakdown mid-ride.
