BRAKE REPAIRS & UPGRADES IN OHIO

Our brake work covers two things: keeping your brakes safe and functional, and making them perform better than they did from the factory. Whether your pads are worn, your rotors are warped, or you want a brake system that handles the demands of towing, performance driving, or a lifted build, we handle it at our Lewis Center and Hilliard locations. That includes brake inspections, pad and rotor service, fluid maintenance, caliper work, and full performance brake upgrades with brands like Brembo, EBC, Hawk Performance, Baer, Power Stop, and Power Slot.

We've been servicing and upgrading brakes for Central Ohio drivers since 1999. In our experience, the most common brake mistake is waiting too long. That normally shows up in worn pads that damage rotors, low fluid that causes fade, or factory hardware that can't keep up with how the vehicle is actually being used. We diagnose first, explain what we find, and give you a straight answer on what needs to happen now versus what can wait. Every job is quoted after we look at your specific vehicle, because brake work varies too much to price without seeing it.

BRAKE WORK WE HANDLE

  • Brake Inspections & Diagnostics

A brake inspection covers the full system: pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, hardware, and fluid condition. We check for wear, damage, and anything that affects how your brakes perform or how long they'll last. If you're hearing noise, feeling a soft pedal, or your vehicle is pulling when you brake, that's where the diagnosis starts. We recommend an inspection at least once a year, or any time something feels off.

  • Pad & Rotor Service

Brake pads typically last between 30,000 and 70,000 miles depending on driving habits and pad compound. Rotors can go longer, but worn pads left too long will score and warp them faster. We replace pads and rotors with the right spec for your vehicle and driving style — not just whatever's in stock. For performance applications, we carry upgraded compounds and rotor designs built for heat management and shorter stopping distances.

  • Brake Fluid Service

Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which raises its boiling point and leads to fade under hard braking. A flush removes the old fluid and replaces it with fresh fluid at the correct specification for your vehicle. This is one of the most overlooked maintenance items on most vehicles, and one of the easier ones to address before it becomes a problem. We check fluid condition as part of every brake inspection.

  • Performance Brake Upgrades

Factory brakes are built around the average driver. If you're towing, running a performance build, driving a lifted truck hard, or just want better pedal feel and shorter stops, upgraded hardware makes a measurable difference. We install performance pads, slotted and drilled rotors, big brake kits, and multi-piston calipers from brands built for demanding use. The right upgrade depends on the vehicle and how it's being driven.

Common Brake Questions

  • How do I know if my brakes need service?

The most common signs are squealing or grinding when you brake, a soft or spongy pedal, the vehicle pulling to one side when stopping, a vibrating or pulsating pedal, or a brake warning light on the dash. Any one of these is worth having checked. In our experience, most brake problems give you warning before they become dangerous. The mistake is ignoring the warning until it gets worse. If something feels off, come in, and we'll tell you what's going on.
  • How often should brakes be inspected?

At minimum, once a year or every 12,000 miles. If you tow regularly, drive aggressively, put a lot of highway miles on, or run a lifted build with heavier hardware, more frequently. We check brake condition as part of any service visit. The goal is catching wear before it creates a bigger problem. A pad replacement at the right time is significantly less expensive than replacing pads and rotors because the pads went too long.
  • What's the difference between brake repairs and brake upgrades?

Brake repairs address components that are worn, damaged, or underperforming relative to factory spec: pads, rotors, fluid, calipers, and brake lines. The goal is to restore your braking system to how it should work. Brake upgrades replace factory components with hardware built for better performance: more stopping power, better heat management, improved pedal feel, or greater durability under demanding use. Some customers need one, some need both. If you're not sure which applies to your situation, an inspection will tell us.
  • How much does brake service cost?

It depends entirely on what your vehicle needs. A pad replacement is a different job than a rotor replacement, and a routine fluid flush is different from a full performance brake kit installation. Every job is quoted after we assess the vehicle. We don't give estimates before we know what we're dealing with, because a number without a diagnosis isn't worth much. Stop by either our Lewis Center or Hilliard location, or schedule a consultation online, and we'll give you an accurate quote based on your specific vehicle and what it actually needs.
